

![]() | Robert M. Klingon is a member of the bar of New York State. He is admitted to practice before the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Klingon obtained his bachelor's degree in political science from Amherst College and his Juris Doctor from the University of California School of Law (Boalt Hall). He was a fellow in public affairs with the Coro Foundation in St. Louis, Missouri, and a judicial law clerk in the chambers of Honorable Procter Hug, Jr., former chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Honorable Evan Wallach, judge of the U.S. Court of International Trade. Mr. Klingon has practiced in complex federal litigation and appeals for nearly twenty years in antitrust, securities, corporate, environmental, intellectual property, bankruptcy and contractual disputes, as well as transactional counseling, prior to joining Simon Gluck & Kane LLP in 2008. Since then he has represented clients in various customs, international trade, export regulation and forfeiture disputes before the federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration; counseled clients in classification, procedural and corporate matters; and defended several copyright infringement actions. Mr. Klingon is a member of the American Bar Association, and its international and litigation sections; the Association of the Bar of the City of the City of New York, and the Customs and International Trade Bar Association. He has served as Chair of the New York County Lawyers Association Committee on Customs and International Trade Law, Chair of the Young Lawyers Division and Vice President for the Second Circuit of the Federal Bar Association, and on the Federal Bar Association's National Council and National Executive Committee. |
