MARIANA DEL RIO KOSTENWEIN

Mariana del Rio Kostenwein is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.  Additionally, she is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and other federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.  She is resident in the firm’s New York office.

Ms. del Rio Kostenwein is a graduate of Iona College, where she earned a Bachelor in Business Administration as well as minor degrees in Economics and German in 2002.  Additionally, she earned a Master of Business Administration with a Certificate in International Business from Iona College in 2005.  She received a Juris Doctor degree as well as a Certificate in International Law from Pace University School of Law in 2011.  While in law school, Ms. del Rio Kostenwein was an Articles Editor of the Pace International Law Review and worked as a part-time Research Assistant in the Pace Law Library as well as for a professor.  She was also a member of the International Law Society and the Latin American Law Students Association.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. del Rio Kostenwein worked for an American export company and the commercial office of a foreign consulate in New York City.  After joining the firm in 2011, she has been working on matters involving tariff classification, valuation, seizures, liquidated damages claims, prior disclosures as well as regulatory issues at various federal agencies including APHIS, CPSC, FDA, FTC, among others.
